Barebones PC packages are economical DIY (Do It Yourself) solutions to upgrade your existing PC. These kits are usually void of hard drives, optical drives (CD-ROM, DVD-RW), floppy drives, video cards, operating systems etc. If you have some of the listed missing components and want to continue to use them, these kits may be a perfect solution. Although a Barebones kit can be a powerful alternative to what you have now, this particular PC configuration is designed with minimal upgradability.
